03:38 hours the same morning on Teme Street, Tenbury Wells. The
police unit that attended consisted of ***** and *****
141. ***** provided a statement to the IPCC. He said that he and *****
responded to a request to attend a nuisance call. They attended
Tenbury Wells as they were close by and found a person in Teme
Street, who was Adrian.
142. ***** describes Adrian as being dressed in dark clothing and ‘soaking
wet’. ***** describes Adrian as being very drunk, unsteady on his
feet, smelling of alcohol and slurring his words. He described Adrian
as ‘highly agitated and shouting and raving he was going to steal a
fire engine’.
143. Both ***** calmed Adrian down and once this happened took Adrian
home. ***** said that he spoke to both of Adrian’s grandparents and
explained what had happened and to call the police if Adrian became
agitated again.
144. Around fifteen minutes later ***** received another call to return to
Adrian’s house. ***** describes that when they returned, Adrian was
a different person to whom they had dropped off earlier and
describes him as abusive and aggressive. Adrian was then taken
into custody.
145. ***** says that throughout the journey to Worcester Police Station,
the officers received constant abuse from Adrian, although he cannot
recall exactly what was said. Once at custody in Worcester, Adrian
was booked in and ***** had no further dealings with him.
146. ***** said that at no point was he told that Adrian had alleged he had
been raped, and Adrian himself did not report it to him or *****
