On July 28 th , some <strong>of</strong> the members <strong>of</strong> <strong>Bethel</strong> <strong>No</strong>. 175 <strong>of</strong> San Leandro gathered together in Oakland for 24 hours to<br />
raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life 2012. The <strong>Bethel</strong> formed a team last year (raising<br />
$1,075 through donations) and had so much fun they’ve made this an annual <strong>Bethel</strong> event. The girls registered with<br />
their team and through Facebook updates and personal emails encouraged friends and families to make donations.<br />
They then walked, ran and even rolled along the track wrapped in a sleeping bag for 24 hours. Members also sold<br />
nachos at the event with all monies being donated to Relay for Life. It was a fun but tiring 24 hours.<br />
