On July 28 th , some of the members of Bethel No. 175 of San Leandro gathered together in Oakland for 24 hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life 2012. The Bethel formed a team last year (raising $1,075 through donations) and had so much fun they’ve made this an annual Bethel event. The girls registered with their team and through Facebook updates and personal emails encouraged friends and families to make donations. They then walked, ran and even rolled along the track wrapped in a sleeping bag for 24 hours. Members also sold nachos at the event with all monies being donated to Relay for Life. It was a fun but tiring 24 hours. Members of Bethel No. 249, Newhall enjoyed the after Installation party at Grand Bethel in Visalia this year. HQ, Katie Hill along with Brenna Tripp, Lauren Austin, Hannah Brandon, PHQ Shannon Sanders, and Cydney O’Brien-Rene enjoyed dressing up at the Photo Booth. Page 6
Bethel No. 289 of Granada Hills had our annual Christmas in July dinner this month. It was so much fun and we had two special guests, Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus came and spent part of their summer vacation with us. We also made Gingerbread Houses; it was very messy but fun.
