Clerk Grade 1 (Secretary to the Speaker) Contractual position which will run<br />
concurrently with the term of office of the Speaker ending May 2016.<br />
DEPARTMENT : Office of the MUNICIPAL MANAGER<br />
Level : 10<br />
Salary : R121 818, R126 933, R132 396, R138 447 p.a.<br />
This post is a contractual position which will run concurrently with the term<br />
of Office of the Speaker.<br />
Requirements : Grade 12 plus a Secretarial qualification at NQF level 5 Must be<br />
computer literate (MS Word, Excel & Power point) and typing skills, (at least 35<br />
w.p.m.) Experience as a secretary/Personal Assistant and as receptionist. Basic<br />
knowledge and proven experience in dealing with the public. Good interpersonal<br />
skills. Excellent verbal- and written communication skills.<br />
Key performance Areas : Responsible for the secretarial functions to the Office<br />
of the Speaker. Perform reception duties. Be prepared to work extensive overtime<br />
including weekends, after hours and public holidays. Ref : 0026<br />
DRIVER OF EXECUTIVE MAYOR<br />
DEPARTMENT : Office of the MUNICIPAL MANAGER<br />
Level : 10<br />
Salary : R121 818, R126 933, R132 396, R138 447 p.a.<br />
Requirements : Grade 12. Valid driver’s license (Code B) is essential.<br />
Key performance Areas : Drive the mayoral vehicle on all official trips and<br />
events. Perform responsibilities towards ensuring the safety of the Mayor and<br />
Council interest. Run errands for the Mayor and other Councillors. Perform any<br />
other duties assigned by the Municipal Manager. Be prepared to work irregular<br />
hours and extensive overtime, including weekends and public holidays.<br />

Requirements : Grade 12. Microsoft Office Advanced. Income tax training.<br />
Payroll certificate and 3 years relevant experience.<br />
Key Performance Areas: To accurately and timeously process all salary related<br />
inputs at month end. Reconcile all creditors. Processing and capturing telephone<br />
accounts, consumer accounts and sundry payments authorised by employees.<br />
