Drug Residue
A) As with most presumptive tests, these drug
detection lights can give false-positive readings
and, therefore, as with any presumptive test,
drug residue should be collected and forwarded
to your crime laboratory for confirmation.
TIP
B) Ambient light will adversely affect the fluorescing
of drug residue. Always use presumptive drug
residue detection light sources in a dark
environment.
C) Rechargeable NiCd or NiMH batteries can be
used with both lights.
D) Lithium manganese batteries (photographic grade)
can also be used with both lights which will extend
the working battery life by 50%.
Both the Pro and Scout Light Sources will fluoresce
burnt marijuana and marijuana residue.
