Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a
few things, I will make you ruler over many things.
Matthew 25:21
Dear Family,
In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14–30), Christ presents
the principle that all believers are to work for the growth of
His Kingdom—to do His business till He comes!
The master in the parable gave talents—worth probably about
$1,000 apiece—to each servant in proportion to his personal ability.
When the master returned, the servant who had received five
talents had employed them to gain another five, and the servant
who received two had gained two more. Both heard their master
say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
But the servant entrusted with one talent did nothing to put it
into service for his master. Afraid to take a risk, he did no harm,
but he did no good. Labeling him “wicked and lazy,” the master
stripped the talent from him to give to one who had proven to
be a better steward.
The point of Christ’s parable is that He equips
us to do His will in spreading the gospel of His
kingdom. He expects us to be good stewards, to
be industrious with the talents He has entrusted
to us.
Thank you for using your talents for God’s glory,
by helping 3ABN to advance the good news of Jesus
Christ to the whole world! We greatly appreciate
your continued prayers and financial support.
We say it often, but it bears repeating—we
couldn’t do this work without you, our partners
in ministry. Your heartfelt prayers and sacrificial
giving are just as important to the ministry of
