Message of the President
Dear Fellaw Sopikiotans and ftiends,
I am honored to accept the position us Fresident of the Brotherhood.
As many of you know I was born in Albania as a Greek rninority so I hold this position
very near and dear to my heart. As President I am proud to inform you of our future plans
and goals. Our organization is composed cf mernbers who value academic excellence
together with leadership. Therefor the BrotherSoodhas established a scholarship program
to assist worthy youth of Sopikiotan descent in their pursuit of post secondary ( college or
university) education.
Currently we are in the process of 1) Finalizing an improved application for scholarship.
2) Planning orn annual scholarship dinner- dance.
3) Designing our future website.
As a new member mysetrf to the Brotherhood I encourage everyone to attend future
nneefings. I want us all to have a voiee in the organization. Please attend the generatr meetings
where you will be welcamed as a member. We will also be discussing important
matters inctuding our upcoming activities for &e year. Agaln, thank you for the opportunity.
I look forward to working with my Board of Directors in fulfilling the Brotherhood goals.

My short visit to $t. Louis Mo in United States, was the most
rewarding experience in rny life.
It was a very friendly visit, full of love and compassion from
tha eniire Sopikiotic Gommunity for ihe loss of my sister Popi.
I met a lot of Sopikiotans and friends, and I noticed that they
are united and very proud of their Brotherhood and its
leadership.
They sustain and continuing to love their traditions and their
identity as Sopikiotes, ,
They_ are well organized and very proud that their Brotherhood has kept its authenticig and the
continue support of the Father l-and $opikie and the higher education for the younger generation.

\lMth a great admiration I salute the Brotherhood, who on May 5s, 2011, will reach the 106s
anniversary to continue its prCIgress and the traditions that our ancestors had in mind when they
founded over a century ago. I am very proud to be a member of this Organizatian.
I sincerely hope that the new generation will continue to follow the guide lines that the founding
fathers have designed forthe Brotherhood, which is the common goals of its members and the
Father Land Sopikie,
I wish to the Brotherhood, and to all Sopikiotans of St. Louis, a long and healthy life and continued
