Surface preparation

Substrates must be free from all contaminants.
Because of the wide variety of substrates and their manufacturing processes, a preliminary test should
be carried out on the respective substrate to ensure that the pretreatment is sufficient to guarantee a
perfect adhesion. For information on substrate and respective surface preparation, refer to the
supplier’s specifications.
Scuff sand smooth substrates.
For UP-GF substrates:
a. eliminate all traces of mould release agents;
b. scuff sand;
c. clean with degreaser before recoating.
Application remarks

Do not apply CS161 over PVB- (acid curing) adhesion promoters or 1K primers (e.g. synthetic resin).
Can not be used over thermoplastic or tough elastic coatings.
Use only over above mentioned substrates.
If priming is necessary to guarantee durability, following products can be used:
a. CS340, CS341, CS342, CS343, CS344, CS345, CS346 or CS347;
b. CS331 or CS332;
c. CS381.
