Position Title: Training Coordinator<br />
Immediate Supervisor: Production Services Manager<br />
Summary <strong>of</strong> Primary Functions:<br />
To develop and present a strong training program with the involvement <strong>of</strong> all team members and to develop<br />
continuing education in “s<strong>of</strong>t skills” that go beyond the technical SPECS processes.<br />
Essential Responsibilities:<br />
Coordinate and oversee the training activities that are assigned<br />
Track and report the hours and cost <strong>of</strong> training, as well as, the impact <strong>of</strong> training through the key<br />
operating statistics, turnover and team member survey results.<br />
Assist in the new hire orientation.<br />
Continue the cross-training initiatives<br />
Assist with the development <strong>of</strong> new training materials and programs.<br />
Research and recommend alternative training resources to provide the best training for the investment.<br />
Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors, team leaders and team members.<br />
Ensure the facility’s compliance with ISO 9000 training requirements and documentation<br />
Aid in the updating and revisions <strong>of</strong> existing training modules<br />
Assist with the planning for all team member training plans.<br />
Develop, implement and manage a training program for the facility<br />
Develop a training program to train potential Team Leaders and Supervisors<br />
Formalize training plans and requirements beyond the SPECS modules for team members.<br />
Develop a system to track the impact and cost <strong>of</strong> training.<br />
Development <strong>of</strong> methods to analyze the training programs for effectiveness.<br />

Education and Experience Requirements:<br />
2 to 3 years <strong>of</strong> experience facilitating/developing training programs in a manufacturing/technical<br />
setting.<br />
Optical experience preferred.<br />
High School Diploma or GED required, AS or BS degree preferred.<br />
Strong presentation skills.<br />
Experience using Micros<strong>of</strong>t Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and EXCEL).<br />
Ability to work with management in coordination and facilitation <strong>of</strong> training for employees with the<br />
facility.<br />
Perform the administrative end <strong>of</strong> the training process in accordance with ISO 9002<br />
Experience in providing technical and s<strong>of</strong>t skill training in a diverse workplace<br />
Ability to conduct On-the-Job training in a manufacturing setting without causing a distraction<br />

Must be able to work around chemicals<br />
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.<br />
Must be able to work a flexible shift, nights, weekends and weekend nights.<br />
Must be able to stand or sit as needed.
