The acceptable colors for use with Alpha<br />

Sigma Phi’s seal, tagline, and Greek letters<br />

are black, stone (PMS 430), metallic gold<br />

(PMS 871), and cardinal (PMS 186). No<br />

other colors should be used. (Figure 7)<br />

These colors can be created from CMYK as<br />

follows:<br />

Stone: C:45 M:33 Y:31 K:0<br />

Metallic Gold: C:36 M:37 Y:70 K:6<br />

Cardinal: C:4 M:100 Y:83 K:0<br />

When printing in one color, the seal may<br />

print in all black, or in any one of the<br />

approved PMS colors.<br />

The additional colors for use within design,<br />

letterheads, and envelopes are dark gold<br />

(PMS 119), orange (PMS 144), brown (PMS<br />

168), and light gray (PMS 422). (Figure 8)<br />

These colors can be created from CMYK as<br />

follows:<br />

Dark Gold: C:41 M:40 Y:100 K:12<br />

Orange: C:0 M:47 Y:97 K:0<br />

Brown: C:34 M:72 Y:100 K:35<br />

Light Gray: C:29 M:22 Y:22 K:0<br />

For undergraduates, a bolder and brighter<br />

red (PMS 032) may be used in place of<br />

cardinal. A brighter yellow (PMS 109) may be<br />

used in place of gold. (Figure 9)<br />

These colors can be created from CMYK as<br />

follows:<br />

Red: C:0 M:90 Y:85 K:0<br />

Yellow: C:2 M:9 Y:100 K:0<br />
