Kilix2 Production was the second group to perform on stage for the first night on the 5th
of June 2015. We went to the auditorium in the evening because we had class in the
morning. After class, we worked on the display board for our group. Then we waited for
the tractor to come and take the big props to the auditorium. We rehearsed our play
once and then dispersed to pray and prepared for our performance.
In general, everything went well despite of a few mistakes in technical and stuff. First of
all, we were very disappointed because our trailer could not be played due to technical
problem. The same thing happened to the first group.
These were a few things that happened that night. First mistake was the props for the
picnic scene were not cleared up for the next scene. This happened because we
practiced without using props but just depending on our imagination so we failed to
oversee this problem. The stage ninjas were informed at the very last minute so they
were not to be blamed. It was a life and death situation for Fateemoh when the light
was on when she was running to the backstage with the props in hand then went
running back to the stage for the next scene.
The second mistake was when Phon Thip forgot that she was supposed to do her
monologue and just went to the backstage. However, it was covered that she went back
on as if it was planned like that. It was really fortunate because without the monologue,
the audience might be lost on the storyline.
The third mistake happened in the last scene when the lights were off after ‘Sam’ hit
‘Fira’. Still it was our mistake because there was a miscommunication with the
technical team. We changed our ending at the last minute. It was like a blessing in
disguised because Asiah was able to pull off her evil laugh because the audience could
not see her clearly. It was the highlight of our story anyway.
It was a miracle that everyone was able to memorize their script despite of practicing
with the script in hand all the time even the night before the performance. We made a
lot of mistakes because the practices did not involve lighting, props, audios, and etc but
still this is a lifetime experience for everyone! Want to know our story? Check it out!!
The script…
