O.M.G: The Face Painting & Tattoo Making Contest
Face painting has been around as an art form since time immemorial. The art has served
various purposes from being a creative passtime to being an essential aspect of theatre,
tribal ceremonies, to intimidate during wars etc. You don’t really need to be an artist to
get started and enjoy face painting. This is indeed the humorous of all events. Bring out
your creativity on your friend’s face. So this is the event for all those who are tired and
bored of painting on sheet of paper and need some real skin stuff to paint upon.
RULES:
1. This is a team event and each team shall comprise of two members.
2. Each team shall be provided with the limited number and quantity of colors initially
and no external material is allowed to be used.
3. The theme shall be declared on the spot.
4. Tattoo making and face painting contest will be judged separately.
AADHAAR: The Wall Painting Contest
A PAPER IS NOT ENOUGH! Is this your view?
Do you think that your innovation cannot be depicted on a single sheet
of paper?
If yes, then folks, event is entirely devoted to you. We provide you the
space of a wall to bring out your unleashed creativity. Remember there
is no limit for innovation.
RULES:
1. The event is a team event and each team shall comprise of maximum of
3 participants.
2. Each team shall be provided with a definite amount of wall space and in
no case shall teams extend the limit.
3. The theme of painting shall be declared on the spot.
4. Each team shall be provided initially with a limited number of colors
and quantity.

SAJEEV: The Clay Modelling Contest
Recall your childhood days, your “BACHPAN”, when your mother scolded you for playing
with mud but here there are no restriction. GET YOUR HANDS DOWN AND DIRTY. No
one is there to stop you. Be an alchemist to turn soil into gold. The art is yours, the magic
is yours but we can surely provide you some clay to unleash your creativity.
RULES:
1. This is a team event and participants are supposed to form teams of not more than
two persons per team.
2. The amount of clay given to each team shall be limited.
3. The participants will be provided material for internal support only i.e. it must not be
visible in the model if used.
4. No outside material has to be used.
ISHOOT: The Photography Contest
‘The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible’- Oscar Wilde.
What can be captured in a picture goes well beyond what could ever be captured
with words. I-Shoot the “on spot” photography contest is for people to convey
their perspectives through their camera shot. The participant can take maximum
of 3 free shots of the given object but has to submit only 1 out of 3 as his final
shot. And we believe for a good photograph all you need is........
just a camera!
RULES:
1. This is an individual event.
2. The participant is allowed to take maximum 3 free shots of the given object
but has to submit only 1 out of the 3’s as his final shot.
3. The maximum time limit is 10 minutes.
4. The area of shoot is limited and camera will be provided.

PICASA: The Picture Completion Contest
Different minds think differently. There is a saying that if in an association of two people,
Both agree on all issues, then the second one is not needed. For the same, we bring in
PICASA, where different contestants will be provided a similar incomplete picture. How
they perceive it and march towards its completion will bring out different perception of
different minds. However since the technocrats are not just suppose to join the dots, they
will have to span their imagination to think of the weirdest possible way to complete the
picture.
RULES:
1. This is a team event and participants are supposed to form teams of not more than

SHREE: The Rangoli & Street Art Competition
The perfect confluence of vanguard ideas & aesthetic art form, awaits at
your doorstep to bring out the artist in you. Its time to swing the colors and
create the blend of rangoli’s ingenuity and exuberance of street art. So be ready
to fly high and flaunt the world of your imagination with a twist of fusion.
RULES:
1. The event is a team event and each team shall comprise of maximum of
three participants.
2. The participants can take participate either in the rangoli or in the street art
contest.
3. Each team shall be provided with a definite amount of rangoli colors &
other required materials.
4. The theme shall be declared on the spot.
5. Use of external colors or any other material is not allowed.

JPJI: The Digital Designing Contest
Boundaries are only in our mind. JPJi is all about being a perfect blend of a geek and an
artist who can put forth all his imagination and give this world a new dimension to think.
The participant will have to design a page on any designing software on a given theme/
issue. The winner will be judged on the creativity, content and originality.
RULES:
1. This is a team event of maximum two members.
2. Set of images will be provided and no extra images are allowed to use.
3. Theme will be disclosed on the spot.
4. The final should be supplemented with its .jpg file.
MONOCHROME: The Painting & Sketching Contest
Heard of graphite turning into diamonds??
Now see it blazing into life. A pencil, paper and brush are all worth you have.
Open up the world to make the world open for you. The sketching and painting
contest will enthrall your mind.
For the artists who dip the brush into their own soul to paint their soul into the
picture reflecting what is arcane and concealed; this event promises the human
disposition of sensible or intelligent matter for an aesthetic end.
RULES:
1. This is an individual event.
2. The material for preparation shall be given on spot and no additional material
shall be used.
3. The time limit for the preparation shall be declared on the spot.
4. The theme shall be declared on the spot.

DESIGNER’S CUT: The Dress Designing Contest
Sketch, Slit and Stitch, this is all what this event is about. Just stitch in time, making
the right cut to put across the perfect outfit design. Here, participant will have to
clear the elims by putting up their work on paper and selected sketches will pull up
their socks for the finals where they will work on fabrics executing their final work in
real.
RULES:
1. This is a team event of maximum two members.
2. All the required material will be provided on spot and extra materials will not be
allowed to be used.
3. Designing is not restricted by any theme.
4. The sketch designed in the first round must be portrayed in the final
round on fabric.

DECIBEL: Battle Of The Bands
6 strings, 60 decibel, 600 waves, 6000 watts... Are you ready to face this arena?
RULES:
The band competition is divided into two sections-
Eliminations:
As soon as settings are complete teams will be given a total of 8-10 minutes to perform.
Bands will be awarded negative points for exceeding the time limit.
Finals:
As soon as settings are complete, teams will be given a total of 20 minutes to perform.
Bands will be awarded negative points for exceeding the time limit.
1. The band should have a minimum of 4 members and a maximum of 8 members.
2. The band should have at least 3 instruments (including a percussion
instrument).
3. The performance should not include any kind of offensive words
and vulgarity. Any such activity might cause the disqualification of
the band.
4. The decision of the organizing team shall be final and binding to all.
5. Participants need to come along with their own instruments. Only
a 5 piece standard drum kit will be provided.
JUDGING CRITERIA:

MALHAAR: The Singing Competition
“Words make you think, music makes you feel but songs make you feel a thought.”…
RULES:
The competition is divided into two sections:

1. The participants are required to submit their karaoke (optional) at
the registration desk prior to the competition in pen drives only.
2. The instruments provided on stage will include synthesizer, tabla,
and harmonium. Any instrument other than these should be arranged
by the participant himself/herself.
3. The participant has to arrange for the person who would accompany
him/her on instruments.
4. The song chosen by the participant should not display any sort of
obscenity and should maintain the decorum of the competition.
5. The judgment would be solely based on the vocals and the background
music would have no effect on their final scores.
6. The decision made by the jury members will be final and binding
to all.
7. The categories ( Hindi light vocal & Semi Classical ) can be merged
depending upon the number of participants.

STYLE CHECK: The Ramp Show
Walk the ramp with a difference and create a buzz that’s all about you…
RULES:
The ramp show is divided into two sections-
Elimination Round
Each team will get 10 minutes for their walk.
Finals:
Each team will get 15 minutes, 12 minutes for walk and 3minutes for the questionnaire
round in which any jury member will put up a question(s) about their walk or presentation.
1. The abstract has to be submitted during the elimination round.
2. A team must comprise of a minimum of 8 members which could exceed till 15
(Including makeup artists).
3. In case of exceeding the time limit, negative marks shall be awarded.
4. Your performance must portray a theme which should be in
accordance with the decorum of the college.
5. The costumes, music and presentation will be pre-checked, if found
objectionable, will be rejected.
6. Any obscenity on stage will lead to immediate disqualification.
7. The teams will have to submita)
An abstract (theme description) not exceeding more than 80 words.

c) A slide-show (not required in the elimination round but is optional
during the finals).
8. The judgment of the jury will be final and binding to all.

UTOPIA: The Dance Competition

RULES:
The competition is divided into two sections:
Solo Category:
All dance forms ranging from contemporary, hip hop, classical & semi classical are
allowed.

1. Team should comprise of a minimum of 4 members and a maximum of 12
members in the group dance category. A maximum of 10 members
can be present at a time on stage.
2. The teams are supposed to submit their songs (in .mp3/wma/wav
format) at the registration desk prior to the competition in
Pen drives only.
3. The song, choreography and the outfits chosen by the participants
should not display any sort of obscenity and should maintain the
decorum of the competition.
4. There are no marks for costumes in the elimination round.
5. Props are allowed to be used in elimination as well as in final
round.

HAM-IT-UP: The Dramatics Competition
Thrust yourself into the spirit of dramatics and ham-it-up to enchant the audience
RULES:
The competition is divided into two categories: Mono Act & Skit.
MONO-ACT:
1. The act should portray at least two characters.
2. A maximum of two props can be used.
3. Real names of personages should not be used.
4. On exceeding the time limit, negative marks shall be awarded.
5. Submit the audio files prior to the competition.
6. The act should not portray any vulgarity or obscenity. Use of knives and fire is
prohibited.
7. The elimination is of 1:30 mins& finals is of 3 mins.
SKIT:
1. A team can comprise of a maximum of 10 members out of which
only 8 can be present on stage at a time.
2. The act should not portray any vulgarity or obscenity.
3. Real names of personages should not be used.
4. On exceeding the time limit, negative marks shall be awarded.
5. A social issue must be raised as a conclusion.
6. Submit the audio files prior to the competition.
7. The elimination is of 8 mins & final is of 12 mins.

1. Expressions of the participants.

Guidelines for the participants
1. Online registrations are open from 18 th of December 2011, on the college
Website i.e.http://www.gbpuat-tech.ac.in/accolade12/index.html.
2. The registration in the college will begin from 26 th January morning and registration
cards will not be issued after 27 th January morning so the participants must
reach pantnagar latest by 27 th January,2012 morning.
3. The individual registration fee for the full fest Rs. 500 including lodging, transporttation
and fooding facilities.
4. Kindly carry your college identity card at the time of registration.
5. Kindly carry your two stamp sized photographs at the time of registration.
6. Transportation facilities will be available but prior information should be provided
regarding your arrival time and route.
7. The food will be provided through the system of coupons.
8. Mess services will be available at the following timings:
Breakfast - 7:30 am – 9:00 am
Lunch time - 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
Tea time – 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Dinner – 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
9. The participants must report back at their respective hostels by
the specified time and must not leave the hostel after that time.
10. Any sort of misbehavior or undesirable activity within the
campus premises must be avoided.
11. The participants should maintain the dignity and decorum of
the university and should abide by the rules and regulations
of the event.
12. In any act of indiscipline, the concerned participant will be
disqualified from the fest.
13. The participants must vacate the premises by 30 th January 2012,
9:00 am in the morning.
