THE SITE – EX20 2GT This is the site of the former Shiptons Building and Garden Centre and is situated within the popular market town of North Tawton which is conveniently placed for commuting to Exeter, Okehampton or Crediton. The site has commenced planning permission (ref.13457/2009/OKE) for 20 dwellings and the access road and four houses have been constructed and the houses are occupied. PLANNING West Devon District Council granted Outline planning permission (Ref. 8748/2006/OKE) for residential development at “The Market, Fore Street, North Tawton, on 7 th November 2006. Reserved Matters planning permission (Ref.13457/2009/OKE) for 8 x one-bedroom flats, 8 x two-bedroom flats and 4 x three bedroom houses was granted on 2 nd February 2010. Copies of the plans and planning permissions are held on file by the vendor’s sole agents. Interested parties wishing to discuss the above application and those who envisage alternative schemes for the site should make and rely on their own enquiries of the local planning authority. METHOD OF SALE The freehold of the site is offered for sale by private treaty from a guide price of £200,000.
