The Purple Group was in the Spring of Things with pots of blooming pansies. The Red Group used the primary color of the Junior League. An elegant evening for the Silver New Members. NewMembers On Wednesday March 31, the 2009-2010 New Member Class attended their last training session and learned about the Nominating and Placement Process. To add some fun to the evening, the new member color groups were challenged to create a ‘tablescape.” The New Members were very creative as can be seen in the photos shown here. The Blue Group thinks “Life is a Beach!” At the April General Membership Meeting, 45 women were granted Active Status. Congratulations to the 2009-10 Junior League New Member Class! s u m m e r 2010 5902Update For the last few months, the Junior League of Baltimore has been pleased to offer rental space at our new headquarters and training facility to the community. So far we have hosted/provided for: • a Board meeting in our Board room (seats up to 18) for Advocates for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (ASTT), a local nonprofit; • a professional workshop on fundraising for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in our multi-purpose room (seats up to 135); • research space for the Oregon Center for Applied Science in our Board room and parking lot, who opened our doors to public participants in their injury prevention research project; Above: 5902 Multi-Purpose Room Th e Ju n i o r Le a g u e o f Ba L T i m o r e, i n c. • a fashion show and celebration for the Young Ladies Club in our multi-purpose space; and • a professional training for OB Sonogram Technologists of American Radiology. We are looking forward to lending our space for several upcoming professional trainings for the Baltimore City Child Care Resource Center (BCCCRC), Greater Giving and Loyola University in Maryland.
