9. WHAT CHRIST KNOWS BECAUSE HE IS OMNISCIENT:
He knows everything. He knows the smallest details of their lives.

10. GOOD: The people in the church at Smyrna are unusual
believers. They know their Bibles and they operate on what they know.
They are involved in divine good works while living virtuously. They
have stored in their souls the things necessary to weather any storm or
persecution and they understand God’s grace. They are mature
believers and because of this, they are challenged as a church and as
individuals.

worldly possessions, but the hand holding precious jewels reminds us
the believers at Smyrna were spiritually wealthy. They were
persecuted and lied about, but they kept growing in the spiritual life
and would not let anything stop them. Their works were the gold,
silver and precious jewels, which will not burn up at the evaluation
seat (Bema Seat) of Christ, but will be rewarded.
11. BAD: CHRIST SAYS NOTHING BAD ABOUT THIS
CHURCH.

12. ADVICE: CHRIST ADVISES THEM TO KEEP RIGHT ON
ADVANCING IN THE SPIRITUAL LIFE AND NOT LET
ANYTHING MAKE THEM QUIT.
