GOD SAYS IT IS, “THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.”
Tell students to write “THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST” in
answer to the question, “What?”
Direct attention to the word “When?”
3. WHEN? When was the book of Revelation written?
Direct students to look on the fly-page of their Bibles and see the printing date
recorded for their individual Bibles. Show them where this type of information
is located. Next, direct students to check the pages preceding the
REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.
1) Most Bible translations record accepted dates of writing. For
instance, in the Ryrie Study Bible, New American Standard, on page
1893, under ―Introduction to the Revelation to John‖, we find the
words ―Author: John; Date: 90‘s‖. Other sources such as Halley‘s
Handbook establish the time as 96 A.D. The following diagram shows
how soon after our Lord‘s death ―REVELATION‖ was written.
