Tues. - What I liked best about Grandparents
Day…Worksheet Should be colored.

Wed. – Research a fact on Johnny Appleseed to share in class.
Please have student write fact in their handwriting with
pencil.
Thurs. – Do apple tree worksheet
Grandparent Day is tomorrow. Students should be in
uniform and ready to sing their hearts out. Grandparents should
park on the Hudson Lane side of the building or near church. They
will need to sign in at the office, before meeting us in the café. It
should be a “GRAND” day! For those who had no available
grandparents, we have 3 retired teachers coming to fill in. Oh, the
life of retirement!!!!
Things to Remember:
I will begin assessing for upcoming report cards this week. I
will be assessing the Our Father and the Pledge of Allegiance,
recognition of the letters that we have written this quarter. Please
review. Thanks!
We will begin going to Earobics this week in the computer lab.
Earobics is a powerful and transformative multisensory reading
intervention for raising academic achievement and empowering

school districts, principals, and teachers to strengthen and
rejuvenate their reading curriculums to meet the needs of diverse
student populations. Built on more than a decade of research, and
in use in more than 8,000 schools nationwide, Earobics builds
individualized reading instruction in all of the areas deemed critical
by the National Reading Panel. It helps educators address the
challenges of reading through technology, multimedia materials,
and professional development. Using a “right-tool-for-the-task”
approach, Earobics delivers highly differentiated instruction for
students in pre-kindergarten to third grade, and provides the
support each student needs to succeed. Earobics doesn’t just expose
students to the same exercises over and over again. It gives students
and teachers new ways to reach success.
On Wed. and Thursday, we have the Student Council
sponsored Bake Sale. The students may bring individually wrapped
items to school on Wed or Thurs to sell for the bake sale. They may
be store bought or homemade. Anyone who brings in items to sell at
the Bake Sale will receive a uniform break on Friday, Sept. 27.
(Please see school calendar for proper attire) The bake sale items
are sold for 50 cents. Your child may bring money to purchase a
bake sale item. Please put money in an envelope marked with your
child’s name and the amount of money. This will help when
shopping for the goodies to eat. Thanks!
Homework should always be colored and done by the student
himself. I will write in the directions if parents are to complete
assignment given.

The magazine drive was a success. We still don’t know
amount that school has earned, due to so many orders. Our staff
cannot get it counted. Thanks for all you did to make this a success!

Tues. Oct. 1 st - Winter Uniforms begin today
Tues. Oct. 8-Field Trip to Huber’s Farm. All parents are welcomed
to attend. Watch for permission slip to come home.
Thurs. Oct. 10-PTSO conferences Parent/Teacher and Student
meet for 15 minutes on this day.
