only program to have coached group workouts six<br />

days a week!<br />

<strong>Beginner</strong>s—Trouble swimming? No problem—start<br />

with the people at the same level as you. Haven’t<br />

ridden a bike in years? Do you only walk but want<br />

to learn to run? Perfect! No need to feel lost in<br />

the maze of overwhelming triathlon in<strong>for</strong>mation—<br />

expert coaches will provide guidance, education<br />

<strong>and</strong> a well designed weekly <strong>training</strong> plan specifically<br />

<strong>for</strong> novices to get you to the starting line of<br />

a sprint triathlon with confidence.<br />

Intermediate—It’s time to optimize your <strong>training</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> race potential. A heavy emphasis on<br />

technique will bring your racing to the next level.<br />

Master the art of triathlon swimming, zip through<br />

your transitions, fine tune your cycling <strong>and</strong> discover<br />

5K/10K speed you never thought possible!<br />

Training Details<br />

• The shared team <strong>experience</strong> during weekly workouts<br />

makes <strong>for</strong> great <strong>training</strong> partners <strong>and</strong> enduring friendships.<br />

• Certified coaches, all seasoned triathletes will share<br />

<strong>experience</strong>s, knowledge <strong>and</strong> expertise in all three disciplines<br />

• Detailed 18 week program specific <strong>for</strong> <strong>Beginner</strong>s or<br />

Intermediate athletes with six coached session each<br />

week.<br />

• In<strong>for</strong>mational speakers <strong>and</strong> h<strong>and</strong>s on clinics will cover<br />

all aspects of triathlon<br />

• This unique program not only has a special emphasis on<br />

swimming but also offers indoor spin sessions at Luke’s<br />

<strong>Locker</strong>, along with creative combo workouts. Special<br />

events will take place each Sunday.<br />

® The Tri Team<br />

Kimberly Hager is a professional triathlete <strong>and</strong> a member<br />

of the 2005 & 2006 Timex Multisport Team. She<br />

qualified <strong>for</strong> the 2004 Olympic Marathon Trials, 2nd<br />

place in the Mexico Half Ironman (2004), 2nd place Buffalo<br />

Springs Half Ironman (2005), 12th place in the ITU<br />

World Duathlon Championship (2nd American—2005),<br />

She was a USAT All American (2001-2003) <strong>and</strong> finisher<br />

of Hawaii Ironman (2002 & 2003).<br />

Nancy Copus is a certified spin instructor, personal<br />

trainer <strong>and</strong> pilates instructor. She has been a competitive<br />

swimmer <strong>for</strong> 19 years <strong>and</strong> a competitive triathlete<br />

<strong>for</strong> 17 years.<br />

The focus of the Woodl<strong>and</strong>s Masters Swim Team<br />

(WMST) is to provide adults of diverse swimming abilities<br />

<strong>and</strong> athletic backgrounds<br />

an opportunity to enhance their<br />

physical <strong>and</strong> mental fitness in a<br />

supportive <strong>and</strong> social team environment.<br />

Experienced Masters<br />

Swimming coaches supervise all workouts. All of the<br />

WMST coaches are <strong>experience</strong>d athletes that compete<br />

at the National level of Masters swimming or triathlons.<br />

BIKE LANE®<br />

Since 1995 Bike Lane has been a family owned business.<br />

Owners Herb <strong>and</strong> Jane Beimgraben, <strong>and</strong> Bike Lane’s<br />

manager, Ken Thurlow, provide expert service <strong>for</strong> their<br />

customers. Bike Lane offers a wide variety of bikes,<br />

including triathlon, road <strong>and</strong> off-road specific bikes.<br />

The store also carries accessories, clothing <strong>and</strong> nutrition<br />

items. Bike Lane helps support local cycling <strong>and</strong><br />

triathlon clubs <strong>and</strong> sponsors the Huntsville Classic offroad<br />
