Parents views that the school required expansion to meet local<br />

dem<strong>and</strong>.<br />

Only two negative issues have emerged through the consultation<br />

comments. The first concerning increase in traffic to the school as<br />

numbers of pupils rise. Secondly the impact of the building project<br />

on current pupils with particular emphasis on the sensitivities of<br />

SEN children.<br />

With regards to the proposal to extend the September 2012 admission<br />

arrangements to September 2013, a total of 135 responses were received; 37 for,<br />

10 against <strong>and</strong> 88 'no strong view.' If the permanent expansion is not approved<br />

then there will be no requirement to extend the admission arrangements to<br />

September 2013.<br />

(d) All applicable statutory requirements in relation to the proposals to consult<br />

have been complied with.<br />

Project costs<br />

12. A statement of the estimated total capital cost of the proposals <strong>and</strong> the breakdown<br />

of the costs that are to be met by the governing body, the local education authority, <strong>and</strong><br />

any other party.<br />

Approximately £2.8 million to be met by the Local Authority. Loose items of<br />

furniture <strong>and</strong> equipment will be funded by the school.<br />

13. A copy of confirmation from the Secretary of State, local education authority <strong>and</strong> the<br />

Learning <strong>and</strong> Skills Council for Engl<strong>and</strong> (as the case may be) that funds will be made<br />

available (including costs to cover any necessary site purchase).<br />

The City Council has currently made provision in its five year Capital Programme<br />

for the proposed expansion of <strong>Clifford</strong> <strong>Bridge</strong> <strong>Primary</strong> <strong>School</strong>.<br />
