Each student can take 2/3 elective subjects. Students may replace 1 of<br />
their electives by one Applied Learning (<strong>ApL</strong>) course. All students are<br />
required to take the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education<br />
Examination (HKDSE) at SS3.<br />

About Applied Learning 應 用 學 習 科 的 安 排<br />
Applied Learning (<strong>ApL</strong>) is an integral part of the NSS curriculum which complements other NSS<br />
subjects by offering studies with stronger elements of practical learning linked to broad professional<br />
and vocational fields. There are six areas of studies including (1) Applied Science; (2) Business,<br />
Management and Law; (3) Creative Studies; (4) Engineering and Production; (5) Media and<br />
Communication; and (6) Services.<br />

Since <strong>ApL</strong> courses are to be taken by only a small proportion of our students, students interested<br />
will be arranged at SS2 to attend the courses taught by the staff of the course providers at their<br />
