children to sharpen their tuning skills.
The entry level Micro electronic tambura now comes in a tiny package – the palm-sized Saarang
Micro V6, with added features too!
And the much-awaited 24-string Swaroopini Digital Swarmandal is here to enchant everyone.
The new Nano Dx is already a hit with young students of Indian music.

her tuning skills while providing fun and entertainment.
The Saarang Micro V6, a tiny version of the popular entry-level model
Saarang Micro IV, actually packs in extra features even though it is much
smaller in size: 115 x 130 x 80 mm. Weight approximately 0.5kg.
Features:
The new Saarang Micro V6 digital tambura (tanpura) produces a realistic
simulation of a 4-string tambura
with automatic perfect tuning of all four strings, and choice of Pancham /
Madhyam/Nishad selection with indication. Fine tuning facility is available
for pitch. Chromatic / Diatonic scales of pitch are provided. Facility to adjust volume, tempo of pluck
and tone with 2 styles of pluck sequence is provided. The softness of pluck and sustenance of notes
can be user-adjusted. 3 sets of pitch and other settings can be stored in memory.
Digital volume and tone control through 'up' and 'down' buttons, similar to the buttons on a TV remote.
The Micro V6 has a higher volume output, and clearer sound.
The main features of SWAROOPINI DX:
SWAROOPINI DX DIGITAL SWARMANDAL
• Twenty four touch-sensitive strings
• Can be tuned to any pitch over a range of more than 3 octaves
• Fine-tuning of pitch in between two standard settings provided
• When the pitch is changed, all 24 strings automatically change
to match the position with respect to the new pitch – no re-tuning of
each string required
• Each string can be set to any of a selection of a minimum of 5
notes – e.g, Shuddh Gandhar can be set to Shadj, Komal rishabh,
Shuddh Rishabh, Shuddh Gandhar, Shuddh Madhyam or off.
• Further, individual fine-tuning of each note is provided.
• Four note Polyphony (Maximum) is provided – four notes can be played together (like a chord)

• Volume, Tone, Sustain control & Sensitivity control are provided.
• Five types of ‘voices’ are provided
• Manual saving facility:-Ten raagas can be created, stored and recalled.
• LCD display is provided to display pitch selections, fine tuning of pitch, selection of individual notes,
fine tuning of individual notes, voice selection, memory selection, for store & recall & default setting.
• The instrument can operate directly on AC mains with a range of 90V to 260V or six (“AA” size 1.5V)
dry batteries.
• The instrument also has Auto save facility whereby the current selections automatically are stored
in memory.
• LINE OUT facility provided
• Mechanical arrangement is provided, to replace strings easily, by the user if ever needed.
This instrument is a boon to all practising vocalists. Using the Swaroopini will create the mood of the
raga and enhance the concert further.
