The design objectives for contemporary task <strong>luminaire</strong>s are to maximise all<br />
the following: investment profitability, cost-effectiveness in use, light output<br />
ratios, contribution towards meeting green building <strong>and</strong> sustainability requirements,<br />
flexibility in terms of functional layout <strong>and</strong> unobtrusiveness in<br />
the room. The <strong>luminaire</strong>’s subtly rounded vertical edges contrast with the<br />
sharp-edged precision of its horizontal edges; the white coloured housing<br />
suggests the desire to dematerialise functions <strong>and</strong> dissolve the boundaries<br />

Matt louvre In terms of efficiency <strong>and</strong> lighting quality,<br />
the matt louvre is on a par with the Darklight version:<br />
Via extra wide-angle distribution of both indirect <strong>and</strong><br />
direct light, the ceilings are illuminated uniformly <strong>and</strong><br />
the walls are brightened up, creating an extra agreeable<br />
room ambience. Due to the matt reflector material, the<br />
light becomes more visible <strong>and</strong> the <strong>luminaire</strong>, too, looks<br />

stylistic idiom, it blends seamlessly into modern architecture. Both joints<br />
<strong>and</strong> connectors are white in colour. The H-connector acts as a link <strong>and</strong><br />
also fits harmoniously into the overall appearance; it masterfully merges<br />
two <strong>luminaire</strong> units into a single straight continuous-row system <strong>and</strong><br />
maximises the available light exit <strong>surface</strong> area.

Round the corner
The interior design possibilities opened up by ELEEA are just as varied as<br />
the <strong>luminaire</strong>’s geometrical configurations. The 90° connector enables<br />
exciting configurations that include gentle swerves around corners. Various<br />
shapes can be achieved successfully using the elegant L-connector<br />
which makes connections using just a narrow bridge.

Ceiling rose If design extends beyond the <strong>luminaire</strong>, even the ceiling<br />
rose becomes a stylistic element. The ceiling rose which was specially<br />
developed for ELEEA is a functional detail that reflects a consistently<br />
designed <strong>luminaire</strong> product line. It uses the same design vocabulary<br />
<strong>and</strong> combines it with a high level of functionality. Beautifully simple <strong>and</strong><br />

Louvre technology The extremely flat louvre is designed as a two-piece<br />
component, i.e. the upper part of the louvre (upper reflector) is separate<br />
from the louvre. Slender blades ensure high efficiency <strong>and</strong> an elegant<br />
appearance. The high-grade louvre material (highly reflective Miro) is folded<br />
over on the visible side to complete the modern look.<br />
Close-offset ceiling brightening ELEEA achieves this feat thanks<br />
to an innovative patented upper-reflector <strong>and</strong> cross-reflector system.<br />
The perforated upper reflector directs 25 % of the light onto the ceiling.<br />
The cross reflector makes sure that ceiling illumination is wide-area <strong>and</strong><br />
homogeneous, even with extremely shallow suspension heights.

Suspension height can be reduced to just 15 cm<br />
Cord suspension The tried-<strong>and</strong>-tested Y-suspension fitting used in<br />
ELEEA is a practical installation element <strong>and</strong> also levels the <strong>luminaire</strong><br />
accurately. The adjustable Ypsilon fitting is built into the <strong>luminaire</strong>’s end<br />
cap. There is also a single extra-slender steel cord which adds a perfect<br />
flourish to ELEEA’s elegant appearance.<br />
A minimum cord length of 15 cm is sufficient to obtain uniform indirect<br />
ceiling brightening. The perforated upper reflector allows light reduction<br />
in order to obtain 25/75 distribution. The cross reflector directs indirect<br />
light to provide an extremely wide-angle distribution so that homogeneous<br />
illumination is possible even with extremely shallow suspension heights.
