This 18-Star cow is a linebred Tajima bull with Michifuku as her paternal grandsire,
Takazakura as her maternal grandsire, and Fukutsuru J068 as her maternal greatgrandsire.
This donor cow is a half-sib to 18-Star Lot 61 (743T) and paternal sibling to
Lot 25 and 26 pregnancies.
JVP Fukutsuru 068 is ranked as the Number 1 Marbling bull in the United States
in the 2006 US Wagyu Sire Summary published by Washington State University.
Michifuku is the 3rd highest REA Sire and 8th highest Marbling Sire,
according to the Interim 2009 US Wagyu Sire Summary.
This pedigree delivers exceptional marbling ability – great for F1 producers - and, when
coupled with Itozakura size will generate well-balanced calves for a Fullblood herd.
BR Ms Michifuku-8614 2660 produced 42 viable embryos in 3 flushes in 2008
– an average of 14 embryos per flush – and produced 16 unfertilized ova on her last
flush (possibly due to a problematic batch of semen).
According to the 2009 LMR Herd Breedplan Report, BR Ms Michifuku-8614 2660
ranks in the top 5% of the LMR herd in Backfat EPD and in the top 20% in Ribeye Area
EPD.
BR Ms Michifuku-8614 2660 demonstrates no 0’s in her GeneSTAR results and
reports 7 of 8 possible markers for Feed Efficiency markers.
2660 is bred to Hirashigetayasu J2351 (ETJ001) and due to calve in
August – she will be able to be flushed in October.
• Selling flush with minimum guarantee of 5 viable
embryos. Buyer’s choice of LMR semen.
LMR Toshiro 1-3 would be an outstanding choice – giving these Tajima
bloodlines an outcross to the potent double-cross of Dai 7 Itozakura
bloodlines – and an improvement in growth and size. With this mating,
the chances of obtaining 16-20 Star progeny are 70%.
This 16-Star cow is a linebred Tajima bull sired by BR Kitateruyasudoi 0632 (Number 4
in REA and Number 5 in Marbling in the Interim 2009 Sire Summary). 5612
shows Number 1 Marbling sire, Fukutsuru 068, as her maternal grandsire. Her
paternal great-grandsire is Michifuku and her maternal great-grandsire is JVP Kikuyasu
400 – the leading sire in REA and Backfat.
5612 produced 39 viable embryos in 4 flushes in 2008 – an average of 10 viable embryos
per flush. BR Ms Kitateruyasudoi-0632 5612 is the ideal type of cow to be
bred to a sire descending from Dai 7 Itozakura or Dai 20 Hirashige – producing wellbalanced
progeny exhibiting growth while retaining the Tajima marbling.
Based on her pedigree, BR Ms Kitateruyasudoi-0632 5612 ranks in the top 13%
for Marbling according to 2009 Non-Parent EPD’s, as calculated by WSU. According
to the 2009 LMR Herd Breedplan Report, BR Ms Kitateruyasudoi-0632 5612
ranks in the top 5% of the LMR herd in 200-Milk EPD.
5612 is bred to Sanjirou and due to calve in September – she will be
able to be flushed in November.
• Selling flush with minimum guarantee of 5 viable
embryos. Buyer’s choice of LMR semen.
LMR Toshiro 1-3 would be an outstanding choice as an outcross to
Dai 7 Itozakura bloodlines. Another other choice would be: LMR
Hirashigetayasu ETJ001-5632 762T, an outcross to Dai 20 Hirashige
bloodlines. Both these bulls would add size and growth to 5612’s
potent marbling genetics.
Terms of donor flushes
Seller pays all costs associated with the flush with the exception of semen, which is the responsibility
of the buyer (except where specifically noted). Seller guarantees a minimum of 5 transferable
grade one or two embryos - and a minimum of 2 pregnancies, if transferred by a licensed embryo
transfer technician. All embryos above the minimum number are the property of the buyer. In the
event the minimum number is not achieved on the first flush, another flush will be performed on the
same cow and the embryos from the first flush will be retained by Lone Mountain Cattle Company.
and Michifuku (#1 and #3 EPD REA Sires according to the Interim 2009 Wagyu
Sire Summary) and Sanjirou (#4 Marbling Sire) make this cow an elite carcass cow
in the Wagyu breed.
Bar R Miss 2N is the natural dam of Bar R Ichiro 32 R and Bar R Jiro 22T - both of
these bulls are 21-Star, according to GeneSTAR. Cattle Development Center of Custer,
This 15-Star Haruki II daughter shows legendary JVP Fukutsuru J068 as her maternal grandsire. Haruki II is ranked as the Number 5 Sire in REA EPD in the Interim
2009 Sire Summary. 20606’s maternal great-grandsire is JVP Kikuyasu 400, the largest Wagyu bull ever exported from Japan and Number 1 Sire in REA &
Backfat.
BR Ms Haruki II 2606 is a granddaughter of Monjiro who is linebred to Tajima J105, a foundation sire of the highly marbling Tajima line of Wagyu. 2606 has been used
in the LMR program as both producer and recipient cow – she has also produced an 18-Star AI daughter by BR Takazakura-0606 3612.
BR Ms Haruki II 2606 is a linebred Tajima and would pair well with a Dai 7 Itozakura line bull – adding growth to her strong marbling bias. {LMR Toshiro 723T would
be a terrific flushing choice.}
LMR Ms Itozurudoi 8164U is a 7-month old heifer sired by Itozurudoi TF151 - an outstanding sire about whom Wagyu authority Shane Lindsay, has said: “Itozurudoi
TF151 beat Michifuku in every statistical category in comparing Full Blood Wagyu carcasses. By the time his progeny were tested, and his value discovered, however, he
was deceased – resulting in a very limited supply of semen.”
LMR Ms Itozurudoi 8164’s donor (or genetic dam), CF 503, was sired by Itoshigenami TF148 – another of Mr. Shogo Takeda’s influential sires and about whom it
has been written: “TF148 is a medium-framed bull with excellent confirmation. He is 75% Tajima and 25% Fujiyoshi and is used to induce maternal characteristics while
enhancing carcass quality.”
Two TF151 pregnancies sold at the LMCC’s First Production Sale (2008) for $10,000 apiece – a live TF151 heifer calf (CHR Ms Itozurudoi 288) sold for $17,000. 8164U is
a paternal sister to Lot #10A and a full ET sister to Lots 50 & 51.
According to the 2009 LMR Herd Breedplan Report, BR Ms Haruki II 2606 ranks in the top 10% of the LMR herd in 200-Day Milk EPD.
This 13-Star granddaughter of Michifuku traces back to Dai 7 Itozakura on her maternal side. BR Ms Michifuku-1628 4624 appears to be well-constructed: 50%
Tajima, 25% Itozakura and 25% Kedaka and her 3-generation pedigree shows Monjiro, Hirashigetayasu (ETJ001), Itohana (son of Dai 7 Itozakura) and JVP Kikuyasu
400.
4624 has been used in the LMR program as both producer and recipient cow – and has also produced a 15-Star AI bull calf by BR Itomichi-0602 4632.
LMR Itozurudoi 8161U is a 7-month old bull calf sired by Itozurdoi TF151. This 16-Star bull calf is a paternal brother to Lot 9A and to Lots 50 & 51. A 6-month
old TF151 bull, (CHR Itozurudoi 300) at the LMCC’s First Production Sale (2008) for $9,000.
8161U’s maternal granddam is Hikokura 1/10 – whose genetics represent the main line of cattle at MR. Shogo Takeda’s farm in Hokkaido, Japan – Hikokura 1/10 is an
extremely large Wagyu cow, weighing 1500 lbs. Mr. Takeda has said of this line: “Great genetics, with an extremely large body frame, great marbling, and good at raising
calves with plenty of milk.”
8161U’s MGS, Itoshigenami TF148, was sired by Shigeshigenami – who traces back twice to his sire, Shigekananami, the bull who made the Kumanami line of Tajima
famous. This family has extremely potent marbling genes.
According to the 2009 LMR Herd Breedplan Report, BR Ms Michifuku-1628 4624 ranks in the top 5% of the LMR herd in Yield % EPD, and in the top 20% in 600-
This 14-Star linebred Tajima daughter of JVP Kikuyasu 400 produced 50 embryos in four
flushes in 2008. JVP Kikuyasu 400 was the largest Tajima bull exported from Japan.
Michifuku is the Maternal Grandsire of 4602, and is said to be one of the finest of the Tajima
line of Wagyu bulls.
BR Ms Kikuyasu 4602 is a paternal sister to the dams of: BR Ms Fukutsuru 9671 (sold for
(mother of BR Ms Yasufuku 0609, who calved two Lone Mountain 20-Star Bulls, including
’08 Sale topper LMR Yojimbo - selling for $35,000). 4602’s dam is a maternal sibling of
