SECTION 04 – FIRST AID MEASURES
ORAL EXPOSURE
If swallowed, wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Call a physician.
INHALATION EXPOSURE
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If breathing becomes difficult, call a physician.
DERMAL EXPOSURE
In case of contact, immediately wash skin with soap and sufficient amounts of water. If
irritation develops, seek medical attention.
EYE EXPOSURE
Flush eyes with clean, lukewarm water (low pressure) for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting eyelids to ensure that the chemical is being flushed out of the eyes. Obtain
medical attention.
After Contact With Skin: Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water.
SECTION 05 – FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Unusual fire and explosion hazards: Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions. This product
presents no unusual file or explosion hazards while sealed
in a shipping container. During usage, if a dust cloud is
Isolate from heat, electrical equipment, sparks and open flame. Closed container may explode
when exposed to extreme heat. Solvent vapors may be heavier than air. Stagnant air may cause
vapors to build up and travel along the ground to an ignition source which may result in a flash
back to the source of the vapors.
SECTION 06 – ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Spill or Leak procedures:
Wear appropriate protective equipment. Remove any sources of ignition and ventilate
area. Spills should be contained, solidified and placed in suitable containers for disposal.
Wash spill site after material pick up is complete.
SECTION 07 – HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING
Wear proper protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash thoroughly
after handling.
STORAGE
Store in a dry place. Away from excessive heat, in original or similar waterproof
containers. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.
REACH Communications
The EU chemical regulation (EC 1907/2006) came into force on June 1 st 2007: Registration, Evaluation,
Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH).
The intention of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better
and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. It is a relatively new law and it will
help gradually phasing out the hazardous/environmentally unfriendly chemical substances used in products
distributed within the European Community.
Sawgrass Europe, is a human safety and environmentally conscientious company, and is fully aware of REACH
regulations and intends to comply fully with the law to protect our industry, distribution and our customers.
Sawgrass Europe has taken the action required in fulfilling the responsibility of registration/pre-registration at
European Chemical Agency (ECA) for chemical substances in our products, which reach required minimum
quantity. Products sold by Sawgrass Europe are fully covered by the registration process above.
Please note that there are no chemical substances that are classed as ‘Substances of Very High Concerns’
(SVHCs) as dictated by Article 33 of REACH regulation. As such, Sawgrass is not required by law to inform
downstream users that such substances are not in existence in our products. Please refer to the following website
for the candidate list of such chemical substances. http://echa.europa.eu/chem_data/candidate_list_table_en.asp
In order to enhance the safe usage of the products sold by Sawgrass Europe, we provide Material Safety Data
Sheets (MSDS) or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) upon request. Accurate information including precautionary aspects
are available in these documents.
Sawgrass Europe, as a digital imaging industry innovator, will constantly provide new products and introduce
new applications. In the meantime, we will continuously monitor the SVHCs list and prevent any use any of
these chemical substances.
