RECOMMENDATION<br />
It recommended<br />
1 That Council receives <strong>the</strong> following report <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation and<br />
2 That <strong>the</strong> CAO be authorized to award <strong>the</strong> Septic System and Tile Bed<br />
Construction award to Hogg Construction Ltd in <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong>32 400 plus<br />
HST<br />
PURPOSE<br />
To request Council authority <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>construction</strong> award <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> septic system and tile<br />
bed <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> new centralized operations centre<br />
BACKGROUND<br />
During <strong>the</strong> budget process Council authorized <strong>the</strong> <strong>construction</strong> <strong>of</strong> a new centralized<br />
operations centre to house roads and water department staff as well as fleet<br />
The Municipality issued a Request For Proposals RFP <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>construction</strong> <strong>of</strong> a septic<br />
system and tile bed <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> new operations centre The specifications had been<br />
prepared <strong>for</strong> Spriet Engineering by Bos Engineering and Environmental Services as a<br />
part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> site and servicing engineering agreement with <strong>the</strong> Municipality<br />
Six 6 bids were received <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Septic System and Tile Bed Construction <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Central Operations Centre The bids ranged from <strong>the</strong>32 400 to69 438 plus HST<br />

The Contractor Selection Committee <strong>review</strong>ed <strong>the</strong> contract specifications <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> septic<br />
system and tile bed <strong>construction</strong><br />
The bidders and pricing are listed at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> this report
