I. Field of research interests:
My main research interest is on different aspects of enzymology including; isolation and
screening of enzyme producing micro-organisms from natural environments, Metagenomics

of unique and industrially important habitats, enzyme structure, gene cloning, purification,
characterization, In silico enzyme design and enzyme engineering. I am particularly interested
in the production of commercial enzymes and construction of enzyme-based diagnostic kits.
I have also been involved in the riboryping of bacteria and downstream processing techniques
such as ATPS and FPLC.
