Specific details concerning your communications platform canbe obtained from your service technician.Please have this information ready when you contact our service departmentregarding faults or problems with the product.Speakerphone quality and display legibility• To ensure good speakerphone quality, the area in front of the telephone(front right) should be kept clear.The optimum handsfree distance is 20 in. General informationMulti-line telephone, executive/secretary functionsYour <strong>OpenStage</strong> <strong>60</strong>/<strong>80</strong> T is a "multi-line telephone". This means that yourservice personnel can configure multiple lines on your phone, which is notthe case with single-line phones. Each line is assigned an individual phonenumber which you can use to make and receive calls.The programmable sensor keys function as line keys on multi-line phones page 127.When using a multi-line phone to make and receive calls, certain particularsmust be taken into account page 128 ff.The executive-secretary configuration is a special case. This is a multi-linetelephone with special features (e.g. "Ring Transfer" and "Accept call"), configuredespecially for executive/secretary use page 126 ff.Team functionsTo increase the efficiency of telephony, your service personnel can configurevarious Team functions such as pickup groups, hunt groups, and calldistribution groups.13

BluetoothStep by StepBluetoothBluetooth is an open standard for high-performancetechnology and allows wireless communication betweenPCs, PDAs, mobile telephones, etc.In contrast to infrared connections, Bluetooth does notrequire a visual contact for communication purposesand can be used over distances of up to 10 meters.To exchange data between Bluetooth-enabled devices,the devices need to undergo a once-off discovery procedure.For information on how to configure <strong>OpenStage</strong>for connection to a Bluetooth device page 156.DiscoverabilityWhen first enabling a connection to a Bluetooth device,this function must be switched on page 157.The <strong>OpenStage</strong> is discoverable for other Bluetooth devicesby default.To prevent unauthorized access, we recommend deactivatingdiscoverability once you have enabled the connectionto a new Bluetooth device.A connection is established for devices that arealready connected even if the "Discoverable"function is deactivated.LinkingLinking is the process used by two Bluetooth-enableddevices to "see" one another and to "recognize" that theycan exchange data. It is therefore used for checking theaccess authorization of a Bluetooth device in a Bluetoothnetwork. To do this, a 128 Bit linking key is createdfor subsequent identification.165
