Cover wood-basedsheathings with two layers of “10minute” or one layer of “60 minute”grade D building paper. Othersheathed substrates require one layerof “10 minute” Grade D paper.Do not apply to substrates which arefrozen or contain frost or ice.Apply to surface prepared as for portlandcement plaster.MIXING:Start with approximately 3 gallons ofclean potable water. Add approximately60 lb of the ASTM C 897sand. Add one bag of Surewall FRPConcentrate. Add remaining sandalong with additional water - approximately1–3 gallons for workability.Total amount of sand equals200–240 lb. Allow the material toslake then break set. If needed, addwater for workability.Use cool, clean water; let hose run toclear it of hot water.Sand: Sample and test in accordancewith ASTM C144, and gradewithin the following limits*:No. 4 -- 0No. 8 0 10No. 18 10 40No. 30 30 65No. 50 70 90No. 100 95 100*Retained on U.S. Standard Sieve. Prior to installation, the wall should be free of residualmoisture. For installation in temperatures lessthan 35°F, supplementary heat mustbe provided.FRP Concentrate should not beapplied if ambient temperature willexceed 120°F (49°C) within 24 hoursof application.Protect plaster from uneven andexcessive evaporation during hot, dryweather.Architectural Sales, I nc.143 S.
