Themirror surface of the lid is decorated with a togidashidécor of feathers floating between cloudsof nashiji on the roiro black lacquer ground. Themakie feathers that are executed in powders of silverand several hues of gold seem to drift abovebrown-lacquer feathers deep inside the lid, impartinga three-dimensional feeling.
