Department of Printing;<strong>Washington</strong> Traffic Safety CommissionTraffic Safety FulfillmentFrequently, customers request educational or promotional material from the<strong>Washington</strong> <strong>State</strong> Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC). Historically, orders wouldbe processed manually, turnaround time was 7-10 days, and tracking ofcustomer orders and inventory did not exist. In addition WTSC, was limited tostorage of these items. They asked the Department of Printing (PRT) and itsFulfillment Program to assist in their dilemma. PRT manages the printing,mailing, distribution, and storage of WTSC items while providing an integratedordering system, inventory control, and custom reporting. This process will saveWTSC an estimated 1,924 FTE hours per year, which are now reallocated toimproving customer service.
