Agler was introduced as the Storm's head coach on Jan. 8, 2008and is the third coach in Storm history. He also assumed the role ofDirector of Player Personnel.Prior to joining the Storm last year, Agler was the head coach andgeneral manager of the expansion team Minnesota Lynx from 1999-2002, where he <strong>com</strong>piled a 42-54 (.438) record. Before being namedthe first coach of the Lynx, Agler served as the head coach of theColumbus Quest of the now-defunct American Basketball League (ABL)from 1996-1999, <strong>com</strong>piling an 82-22 record.Before being named thefirst coach of the expansionLynx, Agler served asthe head coach of theColumbus Quest of the ABLfrom 1996-1999, <strong>com</strong>pilingan 82-22 record. He led theQuest to back-to-back ABLchampionships in 1997and 1998 and was namedthe ABL Coach of the Year for the 1996-97 season.Agler <strong>com</strong>pleted his third season as an assistant coach for the SanAntonio Silver Stars in 2007. Prior to joining San Antonio, he served asassistant coach with the Phoenix Mercury and helped guide the team toa 17-17 record after the Mercury finished with an 8-26 record in 2003.Agler spent 15 seasons coaching among the collegeranks, including 13 seasons as a head coach. Heposted an impressive collegiate record of 248-135(.648 winning percentage). From 1993-96 heserved as the head women’s basketball coach atKansas State.In 1988, Agler took over as the head women’s coachat the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In fiveseasons at UMKC, Agler was 85-54 and took theKangaroos from a 9-16 record in 1988-89 to fourstraight winning seasons with 17 or more victories.Under his direction, UMKC led the NCAA in scoringdefense three consecutive seasons from 1990-93. In1991, UMKC set an NCAA team record, allowing 51.8points per game.As the head women’s basketball coach at NortheastOklahoma A&M Junior College from 1984-88,Agler <strong>com</strong>piled a 124-42 record (.747 winningpercentage). In 1985-86, NEO A&M was rankedsecond nationally and posted a 30-2 record.Agler attended Wittenberg University in Springfield,Ohio, where he starred on the basketball teamfor four seasons. He led the Tigers to their onlyNCAA Division III Championship in basketball asa freshman. He started all 112 games during hiscollege career, leaving the school as the all-timeassist leader (481). Agler helped lead his team to a91-21 record during his four years with the Tigers,and was named most valuable player in the OhioAthletic Conference and first-team All-America as asenior. In 1995, he was inducted into the WittenbergHall of Honor.In 1980, Agler graduated with a degree in specialeducation and physical education. He received hismaster’s degree in education from Pittsburg StateUniversity (Pittsburg, Kansas) in 1985.
