On Easter Saturday somemembers of the group had a very busy day, erecting stands and tables, hanging pictures, preparingthe Tea Room, arranging flowers etc.132 pictures were on view, painted by 28 of our members. Also the small display of paintings by thevillage school children was much admired.There was included an array of hand made greeting cards, a small display of hand-painted china anda presentation of floral photographs together with views of the village.Over 300 people visited the exhibition on Easter Sunday and Monday, some coming fromHertfordshire, Lincoln and London. Other visitors were just passing through the village, saw ourroadside notices and dropped in for a look and a cup of tea.Once again our annual exhibition was a very pleasant occasion both for the visitors and also thegroup members who all worked so well together.Help for HeroesFurther to Penny Bean’s early notice of Help 4 Heroes Bingo and Jumble Sale June 18 th & 19 th .You may leave prizes or donations with Ian Downing, 12 Laurels Garth or Penny Bean, Midway, MainStreet; also at The Post Office with Alan & Gill. Playgroup Fundraising<strong>Sheriff</strong> <strong>Hutton</strong> Pre-School Playgroup Management Committee is in search of some assistance inpurchasing new soft mats. These mats, used during all the Playgroup and Babies & Toddlerssessions throughout the year, are necessary to maintain a safe and fun play environment.Our current batch were purchased over 20 years ago, are now starting to show signs of age, aredifficult to keep clean and are now creating a trip hazard. To that end we are looking for communityspirited local businesses or individuals willing to purchase a new mat at a cost of £71.92.
