2.1 Approach2 CODAC ISO/IEC 12207 CONFORMITYCODAC has decided to follow the ISO/IEC 12207 international st<strong>and</strong>ard ([RD3]) <strong>for</strong> itssoftware-related activities. This st<strong>and</strong>ard breaks down all the software activities into groups ofprocesses, which are presented in Figure 2-1.Figure 2-1: ISO/IEC 12207 life cycle processesHereafter, “the International St<strong>and</strong>ard” refers to the ISO/IEC 12207, as defined in the reference[RD3].2.2 ISO/IEC 12207 Con<strong>for</strong>mity StatementCODAC claims tailored con<strong>for</strong>mity <strong>for</strong> all processes defined in the ISO/IEC 12207International St<strong>and</strong>ard, except <strong>for</strong> the Project Portfolio Management Process.The tailored con<strong>for</strong>mity claim is based on the zero level analysis executed <strong>for</strong> existing practicesof CODAC <strong>and</strong> ITER Organization. The ultimate goal of st<strong>and</strong>ardization is to go <strong>for</strong> fullcon<strong>for</strong>mity <strong>for</strong> some of the a<strong>for</strong>ementioned processes, subject to thorough analysis,documentation <strong>and</strong> adjustment of the existing processes.
