GCSE English Language for teaching from September 2010 onwards (version 1.4)5gAwarding grades and reporting resultsThe GCSE qualification will be graded on an eightgradescale: A*, A, B, C, D, E, F and G. Candidateswho fail to reach the minimum standard for grade Gwill be recorded as ‘U’ (unclassified) and will notreceive a qualification certificate.We will publish the minimum raw mark for eachgrade, for each unit, when we issue candidates’results.
