NVISION routing systemsNVISION 8288: half the size, weight and power consumptionNVISION 8288 front viewThe power supply, speed control fans, and all activemodules are hot-swappable and plug into the front ofthe frame.NVISION 8288 rear viewDesigned for applications where compact size andlow weight are essential requirements, these routersprovide excellent signal integrity, robust operation andexceptional design quality.388

High density cable managementHalf the size, weight & power consumptionThe NVISION 8288 and the 8288-Plus are the world’s smallest broadcast qualitylarge scale routers. Ideal for truck and flypack applications, the routers are two anda half times as dense as other routers. However, they deliver the same high levelperformance as NVISION Enterprise Class routers. The routers provide excellentsignal integrity, robust operation, and exceptional design quality.NVISION routing systemsScalable architectureThe routers’ scalable architecture supports high-density matrices, starting at 12 x12 and up to 288 x 576 in single 10RU frame, and up to 576 x 576 in two frames. The truck routers can be configured for asymmetric matrices in view of the fact thatmany mobile applications include extensive monitoring needs.Linear expansion reduces total costThe linear expansion of the router is achieved using multi-conductor cables, withoutthe requirement of any additional external equipment. This linear expandabilityeliminates costly, space consuming external input distribution fan-outs and outputsecondary switching altogether. It also removes the inherent termination problemsof external passive splitters and combiners. The end result is greater system signalintegrity, with fewer signal errors and bigger loss budgets. High density packagingalso maximizes available rack space, and simplifies systems engineering.High density cable managementThe use of high density, DIN 1.0/2.3 connectors provides cable densities two tothree times that of conventional BNCs. These connectors exceed the SMPTE returnloss specifications, and allow a smaller frame for a shorter internal PCB circuit path. This provides the best possible signal launch profile, and allows longer cable lengths.Unique fault-tolerant designThe NVISION 8288 and 8288-Plus truck routers are designed for reliability, faulttolerance and redundancy. All input and output modules, crosspoint modules, powersupplies, controllers, and fans are front removable and hot-swappable. No rearcables need to be removed for servicing or maintenance, and power supplies are fully1-on-1 redundant with continuous load sharing between the supplies.Powerful router controlDesigned to grow with your needs, the NVISION router control system offers a fullcomplement of user interface options, along with full redundancy, and an easyto-useJava based configuration editor. The remote control panels include highlyconfigurable hardware and virtual control panels. They provide all the features, functions and redundancy essential to address a broad range of applications (seepage 335).www.miranda.com/NVISION 8288389
