Operational ConvenienceCamera Focus FunctionThe PVM-741 can control the aperture level of a video signal,and display images on the screen with sharpened edges tohelp camera focus operation. Further to this, the sharpenededges can be displayed in user-selectable colours (white,red, green, blue, and yellow) for more precise focusing.This camera focus function can even be enhanced whencombined with native scan mode.Waveform Monitor and Vector Scope DisplayAn input signal’s waveform and vector scope with anSDI‐embedded 2-channel audio level meter can be displayedon screen. Both the waveform monitor and vector scopehave various modes, including a zoom function (in an area of0 to 20 IRE) with the waveform monitor, and a zoom function(in the central black area) with the vector scope, for adjustingwhite balance. Sophisticated I/P ConversionPVM-741 uses a motion-adaptive I/P-conversion process toachieve conversion results that are optimized to the picturecontent – whether the image is static or dynamic. Highlyaccurate I/P conversion of both HD and SD inputs is providedregardless of signal resolution.I/P Mode SelectionPVM-741 provides four I/P modes so that users can select themost suitable process to maximize image performance andoptimize audio system timing:INTER-FIELD:This mode interpolates images between fields. This is usedfor picture quality precedence (e.g., to reduce jaggedeffect on moving pictures).INTRA-FIELD:This mode interpolates images within the field, and deliversnaturally reproduced images and quick picture processing.This mode is available only for 1920 x 1080 SDI signal input.FIELD MERGE:This mode combines lines alternately in odd and evenfields, regardless of picture movements. This is used for PsF(Progressive Segmented Frames) processing and still imagemonitoring.LINE DOUBLER:This mode interpolates by repeating each line. This isused for editing and monitoring fastmoving images, andchecking line flicker. The minimum processing time is lessthan one field (0.5 frames).External Remote Control FunctionPVM-741 monitor has an external remote control capability forinput/output signal selection and adjustment of various itemsvia Ethernet (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) connection. This type of structure employs a metalcathode and a chemical desiccant to protect the OLEDlayer from air and water. It takes light emission from the TFTlayer and, due to the structural limitation of the TFT layer’saperture ratio, the amount of light emission is restricted.Top Emission StructureSony’s Super Top Emission takes light-emission from theother side of the TFT layer. Because the OLED electroluminescent layer is a solidtype of layer, it inherently responds to any electrical currentinput and emits light immediately.
