Key Systems
What is Pyramid?
Pyramid is a line of high security cylinders that are protected by utility patent number 6,125,674 until the year 2018. Pyramid master key
systems are “system based,” which means all orders must refer to a factory master key system and bitting lists that are created and
maintained by the factory. All cylinders are available uncombinated, master keyed or grand master keyed.
Administrative Documents
Notice of Acceptance: This document is completed by the facility end user acknowledging their acceptance of the Pyramid Policies and
Procedures. The original copy is to be on file with Key Systems Administration.
Registration Certificates: These sequentially numbered certificates are created and issued by Key Systems Administration for each factory
registered master key system. A proper registration certificate must accompany all subsequent orders for Pyramid products for the
facility that requires this level of security. An opt out option by the end user only, eliminates registration certificates from subsequent
Pyramid product orders.
Policies
• All Pyramid facilities must have a properly executed Pyramid Notice of Acceptance on file with Key Systems Administration
• All Pyramid products must ship directly to the end user as per the address listed on the Notice of Acceptance
• Pyramid orders requesting products to ship to anywhere other than directly to the end user must be accompanied by a specific letter
of authorization (LOA). An e-mail originated from the facility's Master Key System Administrator to Corbin Russwin's Key
Systems Administration may be accepted in place of an LOA.
• All Pyramid systems are factory generated
• All subsequent orders for Pyramid products must be accompanied by a proper Registration Certificate - this includes contract,
non-contract and Quick Ship orders. Exception is allowed if the facility's Master Key System Administrator "opts out" of this
requirement, which will be designated on the original Notice of Acceptance.
• No cylinders will be visually stamped with keyset symbols
• All change keys will be packed and shipped separately
• N o systems will be furnished with cross-keying or construction master keying
• No systems will be furnished to customer provided bittings or sample keys
