An efficient, simple and effective weatherventilation louvre that has at last achieved thecombination of airflow and weatherability withoutcompromise that has eluded other louvre manufacturersover the last 25 years.The Levolux VLS50XHP/DF is a single one-pieceextruded louvre that performs better than all otherdouble bank louvre systems.Features & BenefitsAesthetically pleasing - the unique contoured singleaerodynamic shape with inherent strength capability hasa distinctive profile for a double bank system, whilst stillretaining a continuous horizontal appearance. Whenpitched at 50mm apart the screen becomes a visualbarrier irrespective of whatever angle they are viewed.Virtually maintenance free - its patented pending allaluminium assembly for louvre to mullion clip assemblyand A4 stainless steel fasteners, ensures eradication ofany bimetallic reaction.Reduces energy costs - as the unique blade shape isaerodynamically efficient, it has the best coefficient ofdischarge on the market for an extruded double bank, oreven the well-known roll formed version. With airresistance being reduced through the louvre, it allows theaperture and plant equipment to be smaller so savingcapital outlay and running costs.Flexibility - this high performance system is designed tobe fitted with the maximum flexibility utilising stainlesssteel M8 nuts and bolts to be slotted into stainless steeluniversal fixing brackets. As an extruded double bank it isunique in that the louvre depth is only 123mm deepmaking it possible for the louvre to be contained within ashallow envelope. It is also possible for the louvres to befitted between side plates rather than using the standardclip and mullion. This combined with the high strengthof the blade allows easy and quick installation with largetolerance capacity within the aperture.Performance - the VLS50XHP/DF has the mostaerodynamically efficient louvre available on the marketwith an extremely impressive free area (maximumincidence). It is also remarkably weather efficient which,until now, was thought to be impossible, providing bothexcellent ventilation and rain defence. The aperture forair intake is smaller but the amount of water entering thesystem is less than any other double bank, or even triplebank system, with a similar coefficient of discharge.Testing - the high performance double bank system hasbeen tested to EN13030 Edition 5 and has outperformedall other double bank and many triple bank systems.The RangeOur standard high performance double bank louvre isshown on the opposite page and its design parametersare on the back page. Due to its aerodynamic shape thesame louvre can be pitched at both 50mm and 75mm tomatch our standard VLS50 and 75 louvre systems.The range of accessories for the louvre include insectmesh, doors, flashings, backing and insulation panels.Finishes - are available anodised, mill finish or powdercoated to any RAL colour.System Construction• Mullions • Louvres • Clipping System• Fixing Brackets • Flashing• Mullions - the mullions are fixed back to Levoluxstainless steel adjustable brackets at around 1200mmcentres. There are three different types of mullionavailable. The standard profile and a deeper profilewhich allows the louvre system to span greaterheights, in many cases reducing the need forsecondary steelwork.• Louvres - the horizontal aluminium extrusions areimportant in that they create crisp lines and can bemade into the complex shape required of this highperformance double bank, twin flow louvre system.• Clips - the unique all aluminium tension clip systemhas the clip fitted into the slots and locked under theclip above. Once positioned the clip becomesimmovable. Only one mechanical fix is required.• Fixing Brackets - stainless steel fixing brackets withslotted holes to overcome small tolerances, bothhorizontally and vertically.• Flashing - fabricated aluminium flashings are formed toencase the louvre system and form a weather sealaround the openings.3 Year WarrantyAll Levolux systems are made of a high grade material toexacting specifications. This enables us to offer aguarantee providing free of charge replacement partsshould any system prove defective within 3 years ofinstallation. This guarantee is conditional onmanufacturer’s recommended fitting, operating andmaintenance instructions having been followed.•
