LICENSED CHILDCARE
Registration Procedures
for Killarney Preschool
Place your child on the waiting list
as soon as possible! This can be
done as early as January 1st of the
year that your child turns 2 years
old. Call the front office at 604-
718-8201 or stop by in person to
register. Staff will contact parents
as classes are being formed, usually
in late April or early May, for the
upcoming September session.
Parents will be given a due date to
complete their registration and pay
a non-refundable deposit for the
first (September) and last (June)
months of the program. At the
same time, post-dated cheques,
dated for the first of each month
(October-May) or full payment will
be required for the balance of the
year. Children who have completed
the 3 year old preschool program
will be given priority for the 4 year
old class of the subsequent year. If
you decide you no longer wish to
have your child on the waiting list,
please call the front desk and let us
know. Note: one month written
notice required for refund. The
deposit for first and last month is
non-refundable.
Licensed Preschool
Our Licensed Preschool at Killarney has two large classrooms, 1250 sq ft each,
with a science and discovery area, an art corner, a dramatic play area, and a bright
atmosphere with lots of natural light and viewing windows. We also have kitchen
facilities for cooking & baking, a playground outside the classroom, and a huge gym
space for weekly gym classes. We frequently go on field trips using the Killarney
Community Centre bus.
We offer 2 classes a day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You may
register for either morning or afternoon, but not both. There are 20 children in
each class and 2 licensed preschool teachers; one head teacher and an assistant.
An orientation for parents to meet the teachers and learn about the preschool
program is held at the beginning of each year.
3 yrs Tue/Thu 9:00-11:00am or 12:15-2:15pm $83/month
4 yrs Mon/Wed/Fri 9:00-11:30am or 12:15-2:45pm $125/month
Licensed Out of School Care
Kindergarten-Grade 7
Our service is provided to school age children before and/or after school. The
program operates out of the Centre and focuses on providing a safe, secure,
nurturing and stimulating environment. Services include dropping off children at
school and picking them up (Weir & Waverley only), and providing enjoyable
activities such as crafts, board games, computer and gym time, ice skating,
swimming, videos and more. Children are required to provide their own snack.
Please call 604-718-8201 for registration procedures and details. Children
registered in the current year will be given priority to register for the
subsequent year.
Monthly fee includes all day care (7:30am-6:30pm) on non-instructional days
excluding Winter and Spring Breaks. Please Note: One month written notice required
for refund. The deposit for the June fee is non-refundable.

Place your child’s name on the waiting list as early as January 1st of the year that
your child turns 5 years old. We maintain a waiting list and call from the list when
a space becomes available. Please call the front desk at 604-718-8201 to update
your information if it changes or to cancel from the waiting list. Registered
children have priority to keep their space for the subsequent year.
