SAM64SDI to MADI/AES De-EmbedderSAM64 is a cost-effective solution to the problemof connecting audio equipment to the SDI-basedinfrastructure found in many broadcast facilitiestoday. Occupying only 1U of rack space, it provides acost-effective and reliable interface between SDI videobitstreams and digital audio.SAM64 de-embeds 16 audio channels from each of theunit’s four SDI inputs to provide a total of 64 audiochannels in both MADI and AES3 formats.All SDI inputs independently auto-sense between 3G,HD and SD standards while SDI status informationis presented on the front panel. Each SDI input hasa dedicated loop-through output, for connection todownstream equipment.With a comprehensive range of synchronising optionsand switchable sample rate converters, SAM64 isdesigned to reliably and seamlessly integrate into anybroadcast environment where SDI-embedded audiochannels require format conversion.Being fully Dolby® transparent, SAM64 can bedeployed in any facility using Dolby E, Dolby Digital orDolby Digital Plus encoded material.Installation into any system is impressively fast andexceptionally easy.
