COLT BELGIUMDenys NV, WondelgemDuring the renovation and expansionof the Denys NV building in Belgium,the architects used white verticalelements in the old façade to createa solar shading design for the newextension for both economic andaesthetic reasons. Colt was asked tocome up with a special solar screen,and developed a bespoke Ellisse slidingpanel made from aluminium frames.The panels respond automatically tothe position of the sun and extend over50% of the extended south façade of thebuilding.
