19 resultsAnalysis: Dissident scored his second win in ten starts, puttingup a good effort in this Group Two event. Jim Cassidy settled himoutside the leader (Romantic Touch), travelling at an average pace(first 800m 48.88). He challenged at the 300m and then keptbattling on well with Cassidy lifting him in the closing stages towin by a head. The NZ colt Atlante made a good Australian debuton the Slow7 track especially considering that he is suspect inwet conditions. He was third on the rails and was under ridingby Glyn Schofield nearing the turn. But he kept responding andchallenged at the 200m and then battled gamely for second. Heshould be improved by this first-up run and looks set for a goodpreparation. Savvy Nature was back in fifth place on the railsmost of the way to the turn. He switched between runners onstraightening and kept making ground for a most pleasing firstupthird, beaten a length and a half. Woodbine ($3.40 fav) wastrapped deep in the early stages and eased to settle back insixth place, one off the rails following a moderate tempo. Heswitched wide nearing the 300m and made ground late, in thesprint home, for fourth, beaten a length and three quarters. Themaiden Swiggin’ ($81) was second last in the eight-horse field tothe 600m. He saved ground along the rails rounding the turn andbattled on surprisingly well for fifth. He should prove hard to beatwhen he returns to easier company. Romantic Touch ($5.50) ledthe field until the 300m but then weakened to finish sixth.1st dam: Diana’s Secret, by Anabaa. 2 wins-1 at 2-at1400m, MRC Bill Duncan 2YO H., Avon H., 2d SAJCHill Smith S., L, MVRC Members Equity Bank 2YOP., 3d SAJC Allan Scott Park Morphettville H., MVRCHambros & Cahill Lawyers H. She was a little slow toleave the barriers and settled seventh on the rails, following avery moderate tempo (first 800m 50.14). She improved alongthe rails from the turn, travelling well. Michelle Payne angledher into the clear at the 200m and she then finished strongly, winning well by half a length. She is a really nice mare that lookslikely to progress even better things. Floria settled well outsidethe leader (Sino Eagle), racing at a steady pace. She challengedstrongly at the 200m and fought on for a good second, finding thelate-closing winner too strong. Sino Eagle led at a steady tempo, picked up the pace from the 600m and battled on quite well forthird. Seaside ($7) was sixth, one off the rails, to the 600m. Sheswitched out on turning for home and ran on fairly well in thesprint home for fourth.1st dam: LA TAP, by Lacryma Cristi. 3 wins at 1000m,1200m in Aust. Dam of-2005 f. Scottawin, by Monde Bleu.
