Such as:Burn after reading 2008 a Filmby Ethan and Joel Cohen,Mad Men Title sequence a T.Vseries created by MatthewWeinerBuried 2010 a film by RodrigoCortésSaul Bass’ title sequencefor ‘The Man With the Gold’en Arm’ caused a massivesensation and obsession asBass re-invented the titlesequence as a form of artand expression.“Bass fashioned title sequences into anart, creating in some cases, a mini-filmwithin a film. His graphic compositions inmovement function as a prologue to themovie – setting the tone, providing themood and foreshadowing the action.” —Martin Scorsesehttp://www.annyas.com/screenshots/updates/saul-bass-the-man-with-the-goldenarm-1955/

Bass’ work is evident in many con’temporary designers and direc’tor’s work. Bass re-inventedthe movie opening title sequenceand that is evident in contempo’rary designers as most, if notall movies and films have a titlesequence designed to draw in theaudience rather than just plaintext on the screen, which isskipped or ignored.Bass was a minimalistic designer, which had been in VOUGE sinceBass had begun designing for thefilm industry and his style is stillevident in contemporary design’ers work. Such as:Catch me if you canOceans ElevenMad men (TV series)Casino ROyaleBass’s work is still appreciatedto this day, with the youngergeneration watching films Bass’worked on and reading bookswhere Bass’ work has been print’ed.
