Assuming you are worldly and wise enoughto disentangle the word games, you will be shocked.For some, the dream state is pleasant. Sheltered from the misery of the world, given a continuousfalse stream of hope, and led to believe that they are part of something good, righteous, andmoral, many live in an ignorant, myopically focused bliss. For others who adventure too far withtruth and knowledge, they will find the roads not traveled to be scary with factual realizations. Amind once stretched, can not regain its original shape. Be forewarned, you can not be put backinto The Matrix, i.e. the American delusion.I used to pose this philosophical question to peers. If there was a virtual reality machine thatseemed real in every way and you could determine what your perfect life would be in advance,would you agree to live in it for the remainder of your physical existence assuming your memorycould be erased that you chose to do it?
