Just three O305G/Hz were left in service at 9/9/00, these being 331/41/4. Of these, 331 had the highest mileage (kilometrage?) of any bus in the CTS fleet, having covered 691,000 km since new in 1982. 353 is the last survivor of the ex-German O305Gs. 615 may have been new at the same time as 611-4, but has only just been reported. 977 had previously been reported as cannibalised, but appears on a CTS summary dated 9/9/00, supplied via Réseaux Urbains. Unfortunately the September/October issue of Réseaux Urbains, our usual source of RATP material, is missing in the post. 901-4/6-9 are operated by the STL (service gérant les spéciaux, les Services Touristiques et Locations de Bus, which is RATP's special operations/private hire department), and are based at Les Lilas depot. They were formerly numbered 3026/161/511/65, 5018/34, 3985/035 while in normal passenger service. The original fleetnumbers (long since occupied by newer vehicles) are carried on a small plaque inside the passenger area. 909 has only recently been restored for continued use, an event which prompted our French colleagues to list the other STL vehicles (it is not known what 905 is/was). STCRP, the body manufacturer, was Société des Transports en Commun de la Région Parisienne, one of RATP's predecessors. The secondhand Renault/Carrier, and the hired Unic and O303, are used on school service 575 at Saint-Cloud. They have been painted white and carry the current RATP logo. The hired vehicles are due to be replaced by two new midi-sized buses in due course. The four ex-RCA Tracers have been bought to supplement (or replace?) the FR1s used for the APMCJ (723-OJ- 74) and, according to Réseaux Urbains, they are owned by RATP. R312s 5019-24/7-36 are due to be converted to training buses (some may have already been dealt with). 5074, noted above as withdrawn, came off worse after colliding with a concrete pillar supporting the elevated section of the A4 autoroute.
