CONTRACT SERVICESDRAINAGE & CONTRACT SPRAYINGDrainage SystemsBLEC Vibra SandInjectorArea of use - Golf GreensThe Blec Sand Injector is 1mwide. Slits are cut by discs at25cm centres to a maximumdepth of 14cm, 20mm wide.An oscillating cam causesvibration of the injection legs, which enables the slits to befilled to full depth without bridging, whilst shattering thesurrounding soil. The Sand Injector will handle moist sand, leicaand 2-6mm grit.(Needs to connect to existing drainage for operation to providefull drainage benefits).BLEC SandmasterAreas of use - SportsPitches and Golf FairwaysThe injection system on thismachine is on the oscillatingcam principal as describedfor the sand injector above. The machine is 1.5m wide, slits are cut by a rotarydecompactor, blades set a25cm spacings and cutting 15mm slots at a maximum depth of20cm. Thus the ground is decompacted prior to the injection ofdrainage material, and ridging does not occur. Suitable for theapplication of moist sand, leica and 2-6mm grit.AFT Whizz WheelThis system was specificallydesigned to prolong the lifeof compacted, water loggedgolf greens for 10-years ormore without the need forreconstruction. Not only isthis a much cheaperalternative, it enables thecharacter of existing greens, often built up over decades,to be preserved. Instead ofmaterial being added to thegreen, soil is taken away andreplaced with 6mmaggregate (a silicateaggregate) - slits are thenconnected to an existingdrain, or ALS will constructdrainage to a suitable outfall.Benefits are:• Reduced use of temporarygreens through waterlogging• Resulting improvement ingreens soil structure• Better playing conditions• Improved rootdevelopment• Earlier spring growth andreduced diseasesusceptibility“I have had a good working relationship with ALS for a number of years.
