Nonunitstandard based.Minimum requirementfor PoolSafe.Includes the PLPCcomponents (andassociated unitstandards) along with theremainder of the NC inAquatics L3.First registration – free.Revalidation – $25.00(annually)$125.00Pool Lifeguard PractisingCertificate (PLPC)Once achieved, the PLPC will need to be revalidated on anannual basis. Revalidation is based on continuing to meet thepoolside competency requirements.PLPC first, moving onto National Certificatein Aquatics L3 laterPLPC completed.Sometime later, traineechooses to enrol inAquatics L3. At thisstage they will beawarded the associatedPLPC unit standardsand go on to completethe remainder of theNC in Aquatics L3.$50.00 additional fee(over and above $137already paid for PLSA) toupgrade to Aquatics L3National Certificate in AquaticsTo further your skills and knowledge applicable to the entire role of a Pool Lifeguard, the PLPC canbe undertaken as part of a National Certificate in Aquatics Level 3. NEXT STEPSEnrolment, Payment and ResourcesEnrol trainee lifeguard(s) by completing a PLSA Enrolmentform. Skills Active will send a pack, which includes thePLSA Training Manual and Assessment book.PLSA Training and AssessmentCarry out training and assessment of the traineelifeguard(s) using the resources supplied. Reportcompletion of the PLSA via the ‘Achievement Reportingform’ contained in the Assessment book.PLSA CompletedSkills Active will record completion of the PLSA.PLPC Enrolment and ResourcesEnrol the provisionally licensed lifeguard into the PLPCusing the PLPC Enrolment form. Skills Active will send apack, which includes the PLPC Assessment book.PLPC Training and AssessmentCarry out training and assessment of the provisionallylicensed lifeguard(s) using the resources supplied.
