If mist is inhaled, remove from contaminatedarea. If adverse effects occur, contact a doctor and show this <strong>MSDS</strong>.If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair<strong>with</strong> running water.If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously <strong>with</strong> running water.Continue flushing until advised to stop by the Poisons Information Centre or a doctor,or for at least 5 minutes.Urgent hospital treatment is likely to be needed. If swallowed in significant quantity,contact Poisons Information Centre. Medical observation needs to be carried out forup to 48 hours.Medical conditions aggravated by exposure - none known. Treatment issymptomatic.SECTION 5FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS:EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:FIRE FIGHTING:Special advice in case of fire:Hazardous products of combustion:FIRE FIGHTING MEASURESNot flammable nor combustible..Water spray/fog, dry chemical or CO2.Do not use water jet. Place emphasis on preventing contaminatedfire-fighting water from reaching drain or waterway.Emergency workers should wear full protective equipment andsupplied-air breathing apparatus. Toxic or irritant gases, vapours orparticulates may be generated in a fire. Spray water on containersto cool. Contain contaminated fire-fighting water.Oxides of carbon, hazardous particulates and unidentified pyrogenicvapours/substancesSECTION 6ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURESIf spill is of significant quantity, move non-essential persons away. Do not allow product to enter drains,unpaved soil or sewer. Wear Personal Protective Equipment shown in Section 8 (at least skin, eye andrespiratory protection). Place leaking receptacles in an over-bin. Contain spill <strong>with</strong> a dyke of dry sand, earthor kitty litter. Sweep up absorbent and pack in fully labelled container for disposal. To cleanse thecontaminated area, wet down contaminated area <strong>with</strong> a small amount of water, again cover <strong>with</strong> absorbentand place used absorbent into the labelled container. Consult waste authority regarding disposal.OCCUPATIONAL RELEASE: As above.SECTION 7HANDLING AND STORAGEIf handling uncapped containers, (e.g., decanting), wear the personal protective equipment recommended inSection 8. Store away from incompatible liquids noted in Section 10, including oxidising agents. Store in abunded area if possible. Do not store <strong>with</strong> food or beverage. Store below 30°C in original container in a wellventilatedarea.Mechanical ventilation: Not required by regulations. May be beneficial when handling the liquid.Sources of ignition: Special controls not required.Harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact <strong>with</strong> the eyes, skin and clothing. If clothing becomes contaminated <strong>with</strong>product, remove clothing and launder. If product is on skin, wash <strong>with</strong> soap and water. If product is in eyes,wash it out immediately <strong>with</strong> water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms andface thoroughly <strong>with</strong> soap and water
