Dear Readers,
The world‘s largest trade fair in terms of exhibition area is set to
break records yet again when the 29th bauma opens its doors in
Munich from April 19 to 25, 2010. More than three thousand exhibitors
from Germany and abroad, presenting their latest products and
developments in the international building, building materials and
mining machinery industries, have registered. The total exhibition
area has been expanded to 555,000 m², and two temporary halls
erected on the outdoor part of the exhibition grounds, to meet the
enormous demand for space. The new North-West entrance will be
open, to eliminate congestion.
The thematic product grouping successfully introduced in 2007 will
continue in 2010 to facilitate exhibition visitors‘ route in finding the
focuses of their interest:
– All Around Construction Sites
– Mining, Extraction and Processing of Raw Materials
– Production of Building Materials
– Component and Service Suppliers
While there will again be joint stands at the bauma 2010 representing
China, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada,
Korea, Poland, Spain, the Czech Republic and the USA (alphabe-
tical order), there will also be a new joint presence from Brazil,
and two additional stands from the United States in the Mining,
Extraction and Processing of Raw Materials category, and in Tunnel
Engineering.
A further highlight is the presence of the partner region, India,
at this year‘s bauma – four of five companies polled perceive good
or even excellent sales potentials for their products in this nation of
1.1 billion people, and are planning to expand their investments.
Dear AT INTERNATIONAL readers, we wish all of you an interesting,
inspiring and successful presence at or visit to the bauma, and
warmly recommend our Fair Guide to assist you. Above all, we
greatly look forward to meeting you in person on our own stand
at the fair.
Yours sincerely
