INVESTIGATIONS/COMMUNITY SERVICESWith a staff of 50, this section is comprisedof several units and one program: PersonsCrimes, Property Crimes, Fraud, School Services,Neighborhood Services, Eastside Narcotics TaskForce, Forensics, Crime Analysis and the VolunteerProgram.Major Bill QuinnOfficer Tory MangioneSchool Resource Officer Mike FryInvestigations is supervised by three lieutenantsand is comprised of 17 detectives, one civilian D/Vvictim advocate, one special assignment detective,one crime analysis detective and two crimeprevention detectives. Investigations is responsiblefor conducting complicated investigations relatingto violent, property and fraud crimes. The twocrime prevention detectives work closely with thebusiness and residential community to educate onways to reduce the chance of victimization.Community Services is supervised by twolieutenants and is comprised of seven schoolresource officers (SRO), three bicycle officers, threesub-station officers and one station officer. Thereis a SRO in every high school and two assigned tothe middle schools. The bicycle officers conductsafety talks and work closely with Patrol proactivelycombating crime. The sub-station officers managethe Crossroads, Factoria and Downtown Substations.The station officer is assigned to the frontcounter of the Police Department.Corporal Rob SpinglerEastside Narcotic Task Force comprises Detectivesfrom of five local police agencies: Bellevue, MercerIsland, King County, Redmond and Kirkland.
